Course objectives:

The Compliance and Business Ethics course is designed to enhance your ability to develop corporate values and compliance culture in both domestic as well as international organizations. Using mostly an analytical approach, you will learn how to critically assess and develop:

• Internal codes governing compliance risk management and whistle-blowing frameworks;
• Corporate policies with respect to their level of compliance with competition law rules;
• Rules for managing bribery and corruption.

In addition to that, you will also learn how to assess and further develop strategies of good corporate social responsibility (CSR), and significantly enhance your overall ability to understand impacts of non-compliance. 

To sum up, this course is designed to enhance your ability to understand current challenges and opportunities in compliance and business ethics worldwide.

Having successfully completed the course, you will be able to:

• Analyze and understand current challenges and opportunities in compliance and business ethics, with particular attention to the role of multiple actors;
• Critically assess compliance initiatives from various stakeholder perspectives (e.g. customer, employee, and supplier) and corresponding managerial function (e.g. marketing, HR, operations);
• Effectively use the schemes under which compliance and business ethics initiatives yield positive business and social returns;
• Formulate, implement and evaluate effective compliance strategies.
