This course is a practical introductory course to Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and ISO 31000, the global risk management standard. It uses frequent real life examples which help to demonstrate the way risk management works in business (corporate) practice.
Students will learn how to apply various risk management tools and techniques in line with the expectations derived from the concept of duty of care and business judgement rule. They will critically assess risk management initiatives from various stakeholder perspectives (e.g. customer, employee, supplier) and will be able to develop, implement and evaluate effective risk management strategies.
In summary, this course is designed to enhance students’ ability to understand current challenges and opportunities in risk management worldwide.
