The course focuses on the challenges and opportunities in communicating with different cultures within tourism and hospitality industry, including the creation and development of strategies for effective interactions and conflict resolution. A key characteristic of the course is the application of theoretical concepts to real situations and concrete examples from practice; peer discussion and critical reflection on outcomes are important. The aim of the course: - Understand the basic theories of intercultural communication and their application in tourism and hospitality - identify key cultural differences and their implications for tourism and hospitality - develop intercultural communication skills including empathy and adaptability - identify the causes and analyse specific situations of intercultural misunderstandings in tourism and hospitality - design and apply strategies for successful conflict prevention in intercultural communication - propose and apply optimal solutions to conflicts and situations that have already arisen in practice. |
